Claudia Soto is currently employed with Cameron County Public Health, where she holds a position as the WIC Director for LA 003. Mrs. Soto has been working for Cameron County Public Health (CCPH) WIC program for the last 20 years where she has fulfilled various important roles as Clinic Supervisor, Quality Assurance Coordinator, Training Coordinator, Designated Breastfeeding Expert (DBE) and Assistant WIC Director. She has also acquired an IBCLC accreditation and other certifications.

Mrs. Soto was born and raised in Coahuila, Mexico. She attended the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon and graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Nutrition Science. Mrs. Soto moved to the United States and shortly after she begun her career working for two different non-profit organizations in the nutrition field. Mrs. Soto has extensive experience in the areas of leadership, nutrition, and lactation where she continues practicing my assisting breastfeeding mothers as an IBCLC. She also works in one of the local Texas Ten Step hospitals as an IBCLC. In her spare time, Mrs. Soto enjoys hobbies like cooking, flamenco dance, cycling, jogging, and traveling with her family.
