Benny Jasso currently serves as the Director of WIC for the Community Health Centers of South Central Texas for the past three years.  He manages four WIC clinics located in Gonzales and Lavaca counties.  Prior to this he worked for 28 years for the WIC program at the state level in numerous different capacities giving him a good understanding of how the whole WIC program operates.  He is a member of the Texas Association of Local WIC Directors where he has served as Southwestern Regional Representative, NWA Representative and Historian.  He was bestowed the TALWD Art Fuston Award for 2017.  His agency piloted TXIN and was the first to roll out in August of 2017.
